Lonesome Warrior. Spirit of the Wolf

Lonesome Warrior

Prelude to "Lonesome Warrior"

The truth can hit you in the face like a freezing sleet coming out of the north. You would love to turn around and head into the safe and warm home to avoid it. But you know in your heart you have to face it to continue on your path. And after confronting it head on you will become a stronger person for it.

The poem "Lonesome Warrior" is an expression of that concept. I wrote this after dealing with some truths with my path of the wood flute. It conveys strength, perseverance and the Holy Spirit.

And if the wrath of freezing sleet is hitting your face with a hurtful vengeance, confront it and it will turn into a warm summer rain. I hope you enjoy Lonesome Warrior.

Lonesome Warrior

Warrior I hear your cry.

Your voice into the night.

Ever so glowed in the spirit’s light.

Warrior I feel your heart’s beat.

Pumping through every surge of strength.

Giving hope to every spanning length.

Warrior I sense your heart’s loneness.

Searching for the truth of souls.

Only finding voices of empty goals.

Warrior stay on your path.

Be careful giving out your gift of spirit.

For those will take it like a bandit.

Warrior I hear your cry.

Guard your heart and insight.

And you will run forever in the moonlight.
