You may of noticed or not that Eagle’s Wing has been added to some of the titles and headings of some of the mp3 downloads and the web site.  This was done because I started to add some acoustic guitar tracks to the song play list and to Snocap download store.  The acoustic guitar tracks are compositions from my son Clint Doberstein.

Clint or CJ has been playing acoustic and electric guitar for the past 12 years.  His first public performance was playing a Smashing Pumpkin’s song in front of a school assembly.  He had the distortion and reverb crank on high on his bright electric red Gibson and belted out the vocals of that song that blended together quite well for someone that young and inexperienced.  The old folks were holding their ears while the young girls were swooning.

For the past few years he used the tattered songbooks containing the latest guitar licks to help prop up a sofa with a busted off leg and started to write his own acoustic guitar music.  He also added other instruments such as the banjo and the mandolin to his ever-growing multitude of musical instruments.  As a big fan of bluegrass music he enjoys the local bluegrass talents in the state of Wisconsin.  The bluegrass scene is making it‘s way deeper into the Wisconsin backdrop of music.

CJ and I are currently working on a compilation music cd containing both acoustic guitar and wood flute tracks.  We decided that we would name the duo “Eagle’s Wings”.  I came up with the title with the thought that we both feel free when we are playing our chosen instruments.  Like soaring on an Eagle’s wing feeling the air and having fun.  This compilation started in early winter of 2007.  At this time of writing (5/16/2008) we are nearly completed.

The music of Eagle’s Wing will be generally relaxing with meditation flair.  But it will also have some powerful riffs both in the wood flute and acoustic guitar compositions. You can listen to the music of Eagle’s Wing whether in deep contemplation or seeking ambiance to calm the heated soul.
