The bamboo flute can be an interesting instrument to play. I like to play a transverse bamboo flute keyed in D. It took a while to learn to play it. But once it gets a consistent sound flowing the instrument really starts to grow on you. I have an interesting
story about a bamboo flute that I purchased a while back. I was playing it one
night and when I was done, I hung it back on the wall. About twenty minutes later
I heard a rather loud “pop”. It caused my German short-haired dog
to start barking. He didn’t know what he was barking at, but he wanted
everyone to know he didn’t like it. It took me a-while to locate the cause
of the noise. It was the bamboo flute with a long
eighth inch wide crack down the side of it..
