I just read an article claiming research has found
that relaxation music can affect respiration, heartbeat and pulse in a positive way of stress relief. It
helps release muscle tension, increase endorphin levels. It also helps regulate
the stress-related hormones Relaxation music with it’s soothing flow helps
the brain reach a alpha state. Otherwise known as meditation. The peaceful sounds of the Native American style flute can
put a person into a serene state. Well I could have told them that. Without spending all that money on research.
Putting in a meditation and relaxation music CD
after a stressful day can really help you relax and wind down. Some of my favorites
are Kelvin Mockingbird’s Sacred Fire, Mary Youngblood’s The Offering, Mark Thunderwolf’s Spirit Call, Carlos
Nakai’s Monument Valley, Michael Joseph’s O-Glepi or Anthony Wakeman’s Butterfly Dreams. Plus so many more great Native American style flute players.
And of coarse I like to play my own flutes. I usually play a few songs every morning and then again at night. And if I have the extra time during the day.
