I am currently reading a book that has a chapter titled “Reverence”.  I wasn’t really sure what this term meant. So I look it up and found the following as a way to define it.  Here are 3 definitions:

  • A feeling or attitude of deep respect tinged with awe.
  • The outward manifestation of this feeling.
  • Gestures indicative of deep respects and often love.

Reverence is intended for respect of the holy one.  The Creator.

To be in reverence is to be with-in your spiritual self.

To be in reverence is to respect all life and not destroy it.  All life, human, plant, animal, and earth.

Reverence is inner wisdom, coming to the surface as respect to our fellow man and earth.

To become reverent is to become spiritual.

To define reverence is complicated by living in this modern world of greed.  But at the same time simple.  Live in your spiritual self and seek the wisdom.
