Here is an interesting picture of Colorado
State grasslands. This photo
was taken just outside Trinidad Colorado. It is a picture of what remains of an old western frontier building resting comfortably on the prairie
with the Rocky Mountains as a backdrop. Trinidad was known as a coal mining community. You can
see the scars on the sides of the mountains and in the valleys from the early days of mining.
The city sits on the bottom of the Raton pass into New Mexico.
