In the past 2 weeks I started a book project. I came up with this idea after trying
to sell music online over the internet. I found from experience that things you would think would work didn’t, and things
that seem would end in futility actually worked.
There are so many different avenues to choose on the Internet. Some good and some
bad. An inspiring music artist must be careful choosing the right path on the net. I will admit that I still learn new things
all the time.
How do you know when you have been successful with your music on the net? I guess
that would depend on the opinion of the music artist. Also on how established they are in the music scene.
Some would claim success after selling a bunch of CD’s or downloaded tracks.
Or someone will be happy selling that first mp3 download and look forward to the first CD sale.
For me success is the feel of a newly done CD that someone will enjoy listening to.
Hearing the mellow music and deepen themselves into a meditative relaxing state. When that happens I have achieve success.
This book is intended for the beginning artist. One that is not well-established
at their intended music genre. This book will not be built on finding one’s El Dorado (see note below). But how to get
your creations into listener’s ears.
It can be challenging to sell your music online. But with a lot of patience and hard
work you can touch the listener’s ears. The key is to get on the right path and keep the faith.
It has been a while since I done any published writing such as articles or books.
I have to admit it feels good to get the rust off the composition skills.
Note: For those that are wondering
what the El Dorado is all about, it is a fabled land of gold searched by the Spanish conquistadors first in northern South
America then it moved to the southwest of North America. Of coarse it was never found. It is also known as the land of the
Golden Man.
