Being raised in the upper
Midwest,
generally you listened to country western or rock. Or like a friend of mine would
say. “I listen to both types of music, country and western”. The only time you would hear different music from a different culture is when you traveled
through it. Whenever we would take a road trip to visit my uncle in the Carolinas we would get the chance to listen to some bluegrass.
Now with the age of the internet you can listen to all different styles of music from different cultures. I got the chance to listen to some great bluegrass this past weekend by the internet.
The band Steeldriver out of Kentucky has put out a nice
sounding bluegrass music cd. The singer’s voice can really captivate your attention.
If you like the bluegrass scene, check out Steeldriver.
