With the recent snowstorm we received here in Northern Wisconsin, there is enough of the white wonder to go snowshoeing. The temperatures were hovering in the twenties with a sun poking through the light cloud cover. There was a gentle wind that sometimes would fade away completely.
The winter scenery was soft and amiable with the sun shining off the snow covered evergreens. At first with the hike in all was quiet with wildlife. But on the return trip the forest came alive with Blue Jay calls, Ravens and other songbirds. This concealment is not a surprise because of the recent gun White Tail Deer season that just finished.
