Topic: odd stuff
It’s been a somewhat crazy day with a blizzard going on outside. Businesses shut down, Schools closed. Roads full of the sparkling white wonder making them treacherous. In the woods were I live the Pine trees make a good wind block. But out in the open the high winds whipped the snow in a horizontal fashion.
Later today when the snow stops falling, it will continue with ground blizzards in the open areas. In the southern part of the state they received more snow than we did in the north. The local weatherman called this a white hurricane.
The white wonder of snow is a blessing providing the moisture to feed our water tables and to insulate the ground from the severe below zero temperatures. Sometimes it comes hard and furious and some times it falls gently with grace and blesses us with a natural beauty.
